12:00pm to 12:45pm   POTLUCK outside the Women’s Club (where we usually have snacks)

12:45pm to 1:45pm     ALL PARENT/ STUDENT MEETING – in the Women’s Club – please plan to attend as this meeting happens only once per semester

2:00pm to 3:15pm       Symphony Orchestra full tutti rehearsal with Russell Steinberg, Artistic Director / Ruth Borun Concert Orchestra sectional rehearsals* with the coaches

3:15pm to 3:45pm       Snack Break!

3:45pm to 5:00pm       RBCO full tutti rehearsal with Jorge Padron, Assistant Conductor/ SO sectional rehearsals* with the coaches

* Woodwinds Seating Auditions will take place during sectionals

SPRING CONCERT 2025:

Monday, March 31

  • Alex Theatre (216 N Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA)  – pizza will be served following each sound checks.
  • 4:30pm                 Call time for Ruth Borun Concert Orchestra
    • 4:45 to 5:30pm     RBCO soundcheck
  • 5:30pm                 Call time for Symphony Orchestra
  • 5:45 to 6:45pm     Symphony soundcheck
  • 7:30pm                 Concert start time – RBCO performs first and Symphony performs after intermission
  • 9:50pm                 Concert ends

CONCERT DRESS GUIDELINES:    

    • ALL BLACK
      Students should arrive dressed in concert attire on both concert days.
      • Semi formal attire – solid black, no patterns
      • TOPS: Black shirt or blouse (long sleeve or 3/4 length sleeve)
      • BOTTOMS: Black pants or skirt, or black ankle-length dress
      • SHOES: Black closed-toe dress shoes
      • Optional: Black jacket and/or black tie
      • NO t-shirts, casual shirts, black jeans, jeggings or leggings
      • NO sandals, flip-flops or other casual shoes and no bare legs
        NO excessive jewelry or accessories

PARENT PAYMENT PORTAL

To update your contact information or make an audition or tuition payment, please access the PARENT/STUDENT PORTAL by clicking the blue button below.

The first time you access the Parent/Student Portal, you will need to login with your HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD EMAIL ADDRESS. (If you are not sure which email that is, just email a question!) and set up a password for your account.

Once into the Portal, you should see a welcome page with the name of your student(s). You only need to worry about two of the buttons on this page:

VIEW/EDIT PROFILE: This is where you will update information about your student’s birthdate, school, grade, pronouns, number of years of instrument and private instruction, etc. Please make sure this information is up-to-date at all times!

MAKE A PAYMENT: Your student will be automatically enrolled in a “program” (meaning a LAYO semester) – so you can ignore the enrollment buttons. Just click “Make a Payment” to see any outstanding balance for audition or tuition fees.
